A curious anomaly.......
has anyone else noticed the drivetrain of their current ride spins more freely in reverse?
I ask because as I'm building my current car (CGM) it occured to me that this kit has one thing in common with every kit I have ever built.
No matter how free you can get the transmission to spin and no matter what method you use to check, from blowing on the spur gear to spinning the wheels and timing it. No matter what method I use I've always got a better result when spinning it in the reverse direction.
Just wondering.

Are you using the differential in the front or a one way?

Only thing I could think of is, with the one way, you have one less differential moving making it "smoother".

It's because gears wear better in one direction compared to the other (considering most cars move forward most of the time) The motor powers the driverterrain...
When you push the car forward, making the wheel spin the driveterrain, the part of the gears that are use to spin the car backward are touching. And when you spin it backwords, the normal parts of the gears that are used to propell the car forward are touching, so it feels more free...
If you understand what i said you are not dumb. if you didn't; maybe my explanation sucked (or you are dumb!) lol

makes total sense...
pushing the car reverses the forces on the drivetrain..

What race backwards with the steering wheels at the back, no thanks
