Batt charging Q?
At how many amps should I charge 4, 1600mah nimh AA cells? Thanks.

charge at 1-1.5 amps...I use 1.5 for my 8 1600 transmitter batteries, and since you still have the same capacity with 4, charge the same.

amps

Thanks speedo.

Well, for my 1600s, I charge at 1.5 and they barely get warm. If they were getting too hot I would say 1, but I think 1.5 is safe.

Thanks again, I'll keep it at 1 or below.

Novak should pay us all back for those who bought the millennium. You hear complaints all the time about this model false peaking. Well sometimes the packs ought to blame. But how come it only happens with millennium? Novak shouldn't advertise that the 'millennium charger just turned pro' and disregard all those customers who have not been pleased with the millennium. This is very irresponsible.
Many people are pleased with the millennium pro. What happens to those who still have the millennium? False peaking is a serious problem and I cannot accept this for what the millennium was priced at. Fortunately I have some older chargers that are heaps more reliable. The millennium is a joke! It hasn't sat on my pit table for ages already.

Peak detect .02V
If its false peaking your only bet is to sit there and to keep charging the darn things while watching the volts and when the pack drops .02-.03V's after the pack has become warm, take em off.
I use to own a millenium and I had the same problem I got a Competition Electronics "turbo 35" charger and I haven't had 1 pack of NiMh cells false peak(both AA's and sub C's).

agreed on millenium
I have a millenium and I have to concur. I bought it because an experienced racer claimed this was the "only" charger to ever consider buying. To be honest, I had an duratraxx intellipeak digital charger that was cheaper and did a better job charging than the millenium. I have to do like Proudwinner suggests and watch my packs (even brand new pro-match) and keep re-starting the charge and take them off. I've had more than one pack get so hot I couldn't hold it when it came off the millenium - and that's at .04 and 5.2 amp. I'm saving for a turbo 30 or an integy 16X9 and the millenium will be relegated to receiver pack duty or ebay.
