Default Xray T3R gearing and ESC Settings

I have a new Xray T3r and I am looking for a ESc and gear settings. I am new to onroad and don't want to smoke the motor. I am using a Duo 3 17.5t and a Castle Mamba Max Pro.

thanks

Mike

Default Gearing

Could someone give me a little help. I am running the stock class with no timing in the ESC and full timing in the motor. The track is 100x40.

Thanks

Mike

Probably get a better response posting your question in the Mamba Max forum. They will have users with suggested profile and gearing.

For rubber tire non-boosted, gearing could be 3.8 - 4.2 fdr.

In response to your question regarding ESC and gearing for your T3R, most people at the Coliseum run a final drive ratio of 3.8 - 4.2 in the 17.5 spec class. The ESCs are kept at stock (no boost, no advance timing, etc.). The internal ratio for the T3R is 1.9. My son runs a 48P 78T spur gear with a 39T pinion for a final drive ratio of 3.8. I run mine with a 37T pinion. He's just getting his T3R to start handling to his liking and hopes to start racing it regularly soon.
