Tires are always a good thing and can help your car become faster. Also good servos make a HUGE difference!!! i did not believe it a first buy when i bought a new controller which came with a faster servo... my lap times improved on average 1.5 seconds on a 13-15 second lab!!! i now place either high B mains or low A mains (got a 3rd once on the A main!). Hope this helps.

If you're racing, definately get tires. Also a variety of shock oil and springs. A high speed servo always helps, and an FM radio wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Turnbuckles if you don't already have them. It makes changing setup much easier.

are your packs side by side? if youre using the stock battery holders, you might want to try converting to saddle packs. you can use strapping tape or get the hpi pro2 battery tray with velcro holders. if your packs are side by side, it is easy to convert them to saddle by just replacing the center battery bar with a jumper wire. however, your lower chassis will have less room for electronics with a saddle pack.
