what pistons would you recommend for out door asphalt or should what comes with the tc6 be good enough.cheers
The AE #2 is a 2-hole piston in the kit which works very well. Losi #57 also works well (3-hole). There are various custom sizes as well which can be drilled using AE's blank pistons. Check AE's setup sheets for recommendations.

Thank you and greets

This is measured by setting the ride height (5mm for example) and lifting the car until the tires lift off the setup board. You can measure this with the ride height gauge which in this case should read 7mm.

This measurement allows you to set the droop equally among cars with different tire diameters. The droop gauge setting does not take tire diameter into consideration. A car with larger tires will have more droop that one with smaller tires assuming the ride height and droop gauge settings are equal.

You read the timing with the dots facing you.
so a 4 with the dots inside as opposed to visible would be 47.5 if you can't find your 0 or are you saying put the 4 in backwards to get 47.5

There are only 3 inserts.
Flip them over to see other dots.
There is no marking for 0 dot, because it's, well, "0"
4-dot = 27.5; 0-dot = 47.5
3-dot = 32.5; 1-dot = 42.5
2-dot = 37.5; Same both ways

thanks for clearing that up. I only have the one (4/0) I borrowed out the others to someone that bought a motor used so he could play with the settings and I'm not sure I got them back. ran it with a black diamond last weekend at my track 92x50 with 6.8 fdr and it was stupid fast. x12 is the best motor for boosted as far as I'm concerned.

Hi Kev!

I see that you change a little your setup at front.

Still use 6 deg c-hub but Y change from:

FWD RWD
0B 1B

to:
3A 0B (from 6 deg to about 5, info from J.L.)

Basically it lower RC a little, but changing castor value is the same?

I ask because in my case I still wait for replacement for broken by manufactory bulkhead ... and I cant use A hole

Regards!

m.

ps: see you in Germany ETS

I ran a Novak 5.5 40ish timing (until I can get an LRP) on my SXX v1 on Profile 10, and it was stupid fast. I had the gearing in the high 6's and temps didn't come over 130*F. I was just curious as to how much literal timing/boost the SXX adds on Profile 10? Or if you could tell me how much more each increase of "1" adds, as in the manual saying profiles 4 and 5 are +1, 6 and 7 are +2, etc.

First weekend with the TC6 and I love it! Great mod car, very easy to drive

Hope to see you back at R/CAR sometime this season!

Hey Keven,

Would you mind sharing your tyre preperation for Asphalt? Do you scrub a new set of tyres on track or on the bench somehow or not at all?

Which additive do you use and for how long?

How do you set the temperature on your warmers and when do you put them on and take them off?

Thanks in advance,

Neal
