I've broken twice as many hexes as I have arms. It is by far the most breakable part on the car in my experience. I run them loose, as suggested.

I'm actually running a few broken ones right now, but with the wheel on there, they're fine. Still, they're cracked and slide off easily without the wheel. I got tired of replacing them, and god knows I've got enough extra pins if I lose one after buying like 4 sets of hexes so far. It seems like a hex is one of those things that shouldn't break very often, if at all. Is there some magic in these hexes that makes their fragile nature worth the trouble?

The hexes seem lighter than other hexes I've used, but if they break, what's the point?

I'll be running mine for the first time this weekend. I'll be sure to have those hexes on exactly as Jeff says, and I'll post what happens here.

Never broken any hexes, even after being hit twice on the startline and having a rear wishbone broken..

they break cuz you overtighten them
the little tab won't take gorilla death grip !!!!!!!!!!!!!

be easy on them just snug them down more to keep the set screw in instead of trying to cinch it down on the stub axel.

I put the hexes on WITHOUT the set screw.. they slide on snug and don't bust.. also lighter rotating mass..too if that counts for nothing,

rdx is like a lady.. treat her softly she'll give tyou the ride of your life.

I've broken a few, only when tightening them down. I must have the gorilla death grip disease lol.

Funny, I broke one hex the other day. I thought it was me. I am not overtightning them either. There is just not a lot of material where the head of the screw goes so I can see it snapping easily.

Keep the car flatter....... carry more corner speed......... and take away traction front and rear.
