Remedial setup help - TC5R

Hi Guys.
Long time R/C'er but mostly Off road Nitro/Electric/Gasser although I have 1/10th pan car experience.

I'm getting into a Winter onroad series at a local venue, they run on a polished floor, grip is low.
I was using an HPI Sprint2 and having a good time but as more faces appear every night my position up the top of the sheets is slowly dropping. Trouble is that the high-$ cars are just handling soooo much better.

To attempt to fix my ailing position I bought a new TC5R. Thing is, it drives like a Hovercraft with almost no off-power grip. I have practically zero turn-in bite or grip through the centre which is totally useless to me. The other 'real' cars are running like they are on rails comparatively.

My setup is straight out the book, essentially a start point, except;
- Rear toe which I've set -2deg.
- Green Springs on rear
- Silver springs on front

My next thought is to use the rubber mounts for the top deck to free the chassis a little.
But in order of 'steps to take' what do you guys suggest to get me some turn-in?

I should say that tires are limited in as much as we can run anything that doesn't mark the floor. Most of us run either the Tamiya SP419's or HPI X-Patterns. They may not be the best but as we all run the same it's all good......

Thanks for any help guys ! :)
