Would it be recommended for me to just buy one and swap tires, etc or buy two kits? As far as electronics goes, I plan on using a Tekin RS Pro and a Tekin RedLine 17.5 for touring, what would suggested for drifting? I run a Kyosho SCR in short course, but in the winter the only indoor track is drift/touring car.

Thanks
Hi
going through the same process, have got Zero S set up for indoor carpet, heavy duty rear diff, solid front, standard spur, vertical motor mount and alloy bits, currently running Team Powers 3000kv, 60A esc running on Xceed 32 tyre.

Also love to drift, so bolted on a set of hard drift, and gave it a bash on the bitumen, only change made was pinion gear. It drifts remarkably well, almost on par with my tb03.

Unfortunately we don't have any indoor drifting, but i really think you may be able to get away with one car (initially).

Default Shocks

Anyone know of good adjustable (threaded body) shocks as replacements for kit ones?

Yeah the Sakura Zero set.
You won't find anything cheaper and of a good quality as the 3Racing set.

These are the ones that were suggested, and they are in stock at the moment.

I read that, this is one of the items that I should get when I order my car, along with a couple other "must have" items.

If you did want to go to other shocks, you need to get the +4mm shock towers, which actually makes it signifigantly more expensive than the zero shocks.

The 4+ shock towers basically jack the mount points up 4mm to fit the standard TC shocks - i.e TRF Tamiya, Xray, HPI etc - if you dont plan on using those shocks it doesnt matter, but if you already have a set its probably cheaper to buy teh shock towers at $20 than to buy new shocks...then again the sakura zero shocks are only about $20 anyway, so its individual choice really.

Heres a link so you can see what i mean:

bitDOTly/n809Yj - replace DOT with a .

Cant post links so used a shortener, but its just a link to 3racings site

Errr .. not really. We got 3 Racing to make the +4 towers and the reason was to allow the use of longer TRF style shocks with normal length springs

I needed the 4+ towers when I switched from 3 Racing springs to use AE springs(which are longer), I also use the -1 spring base. The towers are only needed when you use TC shocks or springs.
