Oh shoot. I guess that makes sense. I guess I had them backwards. Sounds good! I might have to give it a try. Thanks man!

Alright dudes, I'm having a hard time finding the right rear shock towers to move the body posts forward. All I can find is the xi towers in the +4 format. Can I use those with the stock length shocks? I just want some carbon fiber rear shock towers that I can use the stock rear shocks with and that I can findnon tqrcracing.com.

Thanks!
Kyle

Yesterday my brother broke the chassis after a nice hit on some tube..the front screw point that holds the front suspension block. it was the stock plastic pc and it broke and the weak bumper didn't help ether. .

Any way looking for something better should I go with the c.f. chassis std ? Or narrow ?
Narrow has to use all 4 narrow suspension blocks right?
Any one else make somehing like exotech?

Go narrow cf. it uses the standard or narrow suspension mounts. I recommend standard mounts. my son runs a fully upgraded car on the narrow chassis and it is awesome.

The +4 towers will not work with the stock shocks. they are designed for more traditional longer shocks. honestly I wouldn't worry much about relocating the shocks. there are much better upgrades to spend money on. If you are set on it I believe it is a tamiya 416 tower with the xi bulkhead covers. please someone else confirm this as I'm not 100% sure. never needed to do this to mine. car drives up front just fine as is.

I answered that a page or two ago with my hybrid. If you want to do it use standard xi rear tower and front bulk head covers from the zero. Moving the tower forward won't really do anything, except if you use both a zero and an xi (like me) you can make the bodies fit both chassis with no extra holes.

The main reason for me wanting to move the tower is to avoid putting the rear body posts so close to the spoiler. I wanted to put them where they normally are on most other cars. I figured there wasn't going to be much performance gain from it but I'm ok with it. I just ordered the plastic front bulkhead cover for the rear and the xi rear standard shock tower.

Yep, I'll be making the trek down there with my Zero's.
Not sure which car I'll use until I find out on Friday which car likes the surface the best, but most likely my zero s as it's a very gentle, versatile and easy car to setup & drive.

Cheers
Rob.

Hope I see you there. My setups working but there's always room for improvement. You may have some tips.

Likewise, it'll be my first time there and first time running on foam tires since a long time ago.

My Zero S

All it needs is some CF shock towers, titanium turn buckles and the narrow CF lower deck.

Cheers
Rob.
