With the number of Zero & Zero-S cars out there, I don't believe it would be in 3 Racing's best interest to stop making & selling spares for those cars.

After some initial problems with one of my Sakura's I'm more than happy with their performance to keep racing them for a long time to come.
I have 2 of them with one being the full CF & Alloy race spec cars and a Zero-S with some key upgrades such as alloy shocks, alloy bulk heads, alloy spur holder & alloy steering, while it still has the steel turn buckles, Fiberglass chassis & fiberglass shock towers.
Out of the two cars, I prefer racing my S version as it feels more planted & easier to drive than the CF version.
Sure it won't keep up with a gun driver using something like a Xray T4 or 417X, but it also keeps some of the other CF race chassis honest, and when people see what I'm driving they sometimes are left scratching their heads.

Cheers
Rob.

I sure hope it'll be a while before parts are phased out. I just picked up a Zero S last month.

I wouldn't think a new chassis is going to be that radically different in the diffs, arms, etc that you won't get parts for the zero, there maybe even some interchangeable parts as an upgrade to the S.

I was thinking that as well. If you look at the rear shock tower it looks just like the sakura s ones that have been modified. I think they took the complaints from the S and fixed them, except for the motor mount, looks like it is similar to the S. different style spur with more open area though

Hi Danny & welcome back to the hobby.
If you have any questions or need help, the guys in this thread are very helpful & willing to offer advice and/or assistance.

Some upgrades you may want to consider for your car.

Vertical motor mount - makes mounting easier & adjusting mesh easier.
Alloy spur gear holder - stronger & runs more true than the plastic ones.
19 & 20 tooth center pulley's -to go with the spur gear holder which will allow you to play around with the gearing.
Alloy shocks - more consistent dampening than the plastic body ones.
Alloy steering - stronger & doesn't flex like the plastic one does
Alloy suspension blocks - less prone to break if the car receives a big hit.

There's a few more which you've already read and/or been suggested to you but they are a good start.

Cheers
Rob.

Don't do speed runs but straight up zero is the least resistance. start there then add toe in for stability if the car is difficult to handle.

Toe out is used to tune corner entry and exit so I imagine it won't do much good for straight line runs.
