i havent installed the servo mounts or the servo yet. i just screwed down the steering block and screwed down the one screw that goes from the top of the upper deck into the steering block. it only touches one side and it is pertty light. i think if i just lightly sand the bottom of the bulkhead and the top of the steering block it will be fine

Yep that is what I meant, sorry for the confusion.

Also for the guys having problems with the servo, I simply drilled new holes and lined it up perfectly parallel with the top bulkhead. I got tired of messing with it. Made everything much better.

see attached.

That would deffinitly fix the issue but i dont want to go that extreme just yet. I think i have the wrong spacer in there so i am going to measure again and see if that works

It is super easy not really extreme, you are simple adding two holes....

Plus you get the advantage of using a better servo saver and any servo you want without problems. It helps out with binding also.

Those are all very good points. Might have to dust off the drill press

I own 3. Have raced vta usgt and 17.5 blinky tc. it works well in all of these classes. I like the xi better in tc though but they both run very well.

Hey guys, I am super new to RC Cars, I mainly fly CP Helis at a local club.
I picked up a Sakura Zero S and am trying figure out my electronics.

I will only be driving for fun and do not need a competitive setup.

Can anyone recommend a good inexpensive motor and ESC to use with the stock gearing?

Thanks

check out brushlesshobbies.com or hobbyking.com i think the stock gearing is for a high speed motor so 3300kv 10.5t will get ya going

Try the turnigy trackstar silver motors. they are cheap and getting great reviews. the turnigy esc is supposed to perform well too.
