unless you mod the motor mount like I did, the vertical motor mount is almost a must. I have the same adjustability of my Zero with vertical motor mount does with the one I modded to be like the tc6 mount. I didn't use the 19t pulley (got the stock one to work pretty well and belt fairly loose...) because the aluminum spur adapter and layshaft weren't available at the same time to buy.

Default Shock pops off ball stud

Hey there Everyone,

I raced my Sakura on Saturday and she handled great!!! The only issue I have had is that the rear shock occasionally popped off the ball stud during some hits from behind from other drivers. Anyone have a suggestion about the the ball caps, besides not getting hit

Thanks of your all's help again. I love this forum, and how everyone helps each other!!

put a cap head screw through from the side to prevent it from popping off and then a nut on the other side of the shock tower?

Thank you Ocean. I should have been a little more specific on which end was popping off. It is popping off at the end connecting to the rear suspension arm.

Hideeho
The b4.1 has a similar problem. The fix for the b4.1 is 2 fold. The plastic piece that screws onto the shock shaft has one side of the hole for the ball larger to make it easier to push the ball through. If the Sakura has something similar mount that side facing away from the a arm. Second, put a 1mm ball stud shimm between the screw head & the ball. That should solve the problem.

Nope, largest I can fit with an unmodded VMM is 34t 48P and it's tight enough, tried 35t once and it rubs against the arm, to be safe I'm using a 33t with a 65T Spur.

Thanks! Any idea if PRS spurs fit? I'm trying to get to a 3.2 FDR either using 48p or 64p gears. Does anyone know what my options are for the space available in the car?

Mike have you tried 3racing own spurs? They have a massive range, they are dirt cheap and come in 48 and 64 variants...

Hi there,

I have just registered as I am in the process of building an S to go racing again after a few years break. All going well but just can't get the diffs to seal. They either leak from the screw heads or from the case itself if not tight enough but if I tighten too much the diff won't move. I'm a bit stuck on what to try next. Any ideas?
