Is there any make of shock oil that does not cause the damper o-ring's to expand/bloat?

I have never had an o-ring expand from the shock oil (for me at least).

They do expand if you spray motor cleaner/degreaser on them.

They have not been sprayed or cleaned with any cleaner/degreaser. What brand of shock oil are you using?

All the silicone o-rings will expand a little in contact with the silicone shock oils. The softer the o-ring, the greater the expansion.

To be honest the expansion has never been an issue for me, my shocks are plenty smooth enough. For what it's worth, one of my tourers has red TOP o-rings and another has clear Tamiya o-rings, using Much-More oils.

+1... just rebuild my shock and clean the o-ring with motor spray.. it did expanded (not sure if it is because of the motor spray or the shock oil - using the soft shock oil)... have to leave it aside for a day or 2 until it get back to its original size...

I just replace it with a new one anyway, so the old o-ring is in the dustbin..
