old technology, however I believe it is the future of TC sedan!

wait til one of the other big manufacturers catch on to this layout, and you will see them all follow suit.

I believe this is the BEST touring car. Best weight distribution, DCJ's as standard, and now an unbelievable price. What are people waiting for? I just bought 2 the last few days.

The reason you DON'T buy a T2/T3 is because they've been updated 6!! times since the Type-R was released and they still have a hard time w/ the Losi car in the hands of a regular driver.

There are things on the car that can use improvement but nothing that is NEEDED to win, period. I slap tires on my car clean my diff once a week and i go fast . Can't argue w/ that. Parts are inexpensive and don't really break that often (haven't replaced a knuckle in 2 months) readily available from any hobby shop that has access to horizon and best of all setups that work inside w/ only a slight tweak work outside. To me all these things make my Type-R perfect for me .
Id rather run an updated car than an outdated one, and I rarely break parts on mine but the parts are also available from any hobby shop that has access to rcamerica/amain/nexxus.
I dont doubt the car would be ok but for $200 I could buy something alot better..

Friend, apparently you have never run one. I ran a tc5, xray 009 and Tamiya last year. I said Id never get a LOSI. well long story short, I got 2 and they make this terrible driver look good Seriously, a great car and at this price there is nothing on the same playing field. I called Losi today and they said they are not discontinuing, they said they realized the age of the car and that they could not keep charging what they did several years ago. Why would this car be a problem to get parts for if we can still get parts for a xxx-s? All I can say is this die hard (other brand) has been converted to this OLD TECH car.

I've had one from the begining! I have to wonder, why it's being sold so inexpensively? Somethings up, anybody know?

It does look tempting. Never heard of it until this thread. Is designed more for foam tire?

Dont need any, the FF layshaft is a must but i have found the Losi slipper spool in the front to be as good as the FF one, you dont even need the Exotek top deck just trim the kit one.

This car works a treat on rubber tyres on asphalt.
