Unhappy

From what I can see it started to rain heavily in round 6. Results are a mess with many drivers opting not to drive...

Does anyone know the final standings after 6 rounds?

overall standings after round 5 is in this order

1 Jilles Groskamp
2 Teemu Leino
3 Joel Myrberg
4 Jonas Andersson
5 Marc Rheinard
6 Jonas Kaerup
7 Simo Ahoniemi
8 Steen Graversen
9 Sakke Ahoniemi
10 Hupo Hoenigl

there is one other round and in the meantime it should be finished but there are no final results yet.
As it seems there was only a dry track until group 12 then it began to rain and most drivers decided not to start.

6. Qualifying was

V Wilck Sweden (SE) 17 - 5.15.00
P Martin Denmark (DK) 16 - 5.00.88
T Torikka Finland (FI) 16 - 5.02.99
M Vässmar Sweden (SE) 16 - 5.06.30
P Huber Switzerland (CH) 16 - 5.08.28
T Bakke Norway (NO) 16 - 5.09.76
R Püpke Germany (DE) 16 - 5.09.94

but this is as the fastest groups had a wet track and most drivers didn´t start.

Any final standings are not published yet.

one information about tires

there is one complete controlwheel to be used consisting of Sorex 36 tires, Sorex inserts and Schumacher Revlite rims.

For wet racing there was only one wet tire from Pit Shimizu allowed. But as this one isn´t available for most of the drivers the limit was cancelled and now any wet tire could be used.

This means

There will be a new European Champion in the end. Juho Levänen won´t be able defending his title as he isn´t in the A-Final.

Xray, Schumacher, Tamiya, Corally and Associated each have 2 cars in the A-Final.

So 8 beltcars and 2 shaftcars.

Motors/batteries are 4 Team Orion/Peak, 3 Corally, 1 LRP, 1 Fantom and 1 Reedy.

FYI, Juho Levänen has been fulfilling his mandatory military service in Finnish Army since January. This explains his performance since he hasn't been able to practice at all during this year and only managed to apply holidays for some major races.

I keep my thumbs up for Teemu!

Round 6 times don't matter as it rained.

Should be interesting finals.

Teemu has improved with almost every round. Can he keep it that way and win the Euros.

Gilles has been "almost there" for the last 2 or 3 years. May be third time lucky.

Pity about Juho. He did very well considering his lack of recent practice. But there are still a couple of vintage TC3s in the A.

And 2 Corally Assassins in the A should shut the critics up too.

The cars that corally uses are prototypes and not assasins. They look very similar to the tech/tamiya 415 in the drivetrain and chassilayout and seems to perform alot better than the old car.

I don't think it matters that the cars are shaft or belt in mod or even stock for that matter as long as they work well. They end up both being fast and efficient in their own ways so you just have to tune the car torwards each cars strengths.

Man that picture in the rain is wild. They actually race in that stuff in Europe? Scary if they do as it has to be tough on equipment. Looks really wild in that picture that was posted a few posts earlier.

I have seen racing with even more rain. Yes it isn´t good for the equipment but sometimes you don´t have a choice if you don´t want to be out of the race. On large tracks like this you could avoid driving trough those places with very deep water but on small tracks it´s really bad.
I think especially the guys from Great Britain have these condition very often. So they know how to do a really waterproof car.
And they know how to make a waterproof ESC direct from factory like the MRT.

2 weeks ago in national race here in Finland Sakke and Simo were driving with this same (prototype) car as well. I don't have any pictures but AFAIK it has totally new rear end, rear shocks are on front side of rear arms and fiber chassis with 5+1 battery placement.

Marc Rheinard (TRF415) did win the first A-Final . Second place went to Steen Graversen also on a TRF415.

Jilles had problems with his ESC and couldn´t start in time.
Also after one lap it began to rain.
