Got a question about the power system for the GTP2e. I found a Novak HV Pro 6.5t combo here locally. Is this something that would be suitable for the GTP2e? What sort of speeds could i expect on 4s (which i believe is the cap on the HV pro, but it looks discontinued as far as i can tell)

Or should i stick with my MMM/2650kv?

Hello from France,

heres my standart set up for my GTP2E SNR

Front: the SNR Graphite chassis allow to use an "inline" bumper so the ride height is much better!!
dif: 60.000
shocks: 800 / DM1 red springs / the more horizontal position but you must unscrew to get the right lenghth
Ride Height: 7mm
Caster: 1mm in the front of the arm
Camber: -3 (at the ride height) - then, adjust regarding tyres degradation
Optional sway bar: 0
Toe out: 1
Rebound: 1 mm more after ride height
Akerman: full forward

Rear: optional PBS rear end
dif: 30.000
shocks: 800 / DM1 red springs / the more horizontal position but you must unscrew to get the right lenghth
Ride height: 9mm
Camber: -3 (at the ride height) - then, adjust regarding tyres degradation
Optional sway bar: 0
Toe in: 3
Rebound: 2 or 4 mm depending on the braking
Camber linkage: the more angled

Electronic: HobbyWing 150A + 2250kv + 4S = gearing 16 to 19t depending the track size

Au revoir

I'd stick with the 2650, I think the gtp2e is to probably to heavy for the Novak system. It would be drivable but probably not as impressive and wouldn't handle the heat as well so you would have to limit the gearing. From my experiance the Novak rotors delaminate from the shaft if they get to hot. The permanent fix is permatex sleeve retainer to re glue. I bought the HPI 2650/esc combo on tower for $249 shipped with member coupon. Not a bad deal.

That Novak motor is 36x72 and it could work awesome on 4s with lower gearing than your C1512 motor
watch temps and it could work real nice for you
if it were me, I would want to try that kv in this car

I've got 3 ballistic 550's two 4.5's and one 5.5 with a hi torqe rotor in it, therefore I feel like I do have some knowledge about the motors. They are good for short cource trucks but they are lighter than the ofna. If you went full snr carbon I'd try to run one. I for one enjoy big block power! 6s 2200 or 2650 5s

Here's a dumb question. All I can find for spurs for this guy are the 51t plastic spur #30110 and the 51t steel #31040. Is that it?

What are our options for spur gears on these. Or is everything pretty much based off XX/51 gearing?

Wow, those lights controlled by your 3rd channel are VERY cool.

So are you going to paint up another shell for everyday driving or just use the one with the lights?

Are they bright enough to light up the road in front of the car so you can drive around at night without hitting a curb?
