It should run very well on 4s! Especially for speed runs and long straight-aways 200ft plus. Just make sure u run in an open area away from any obstructions and people!!!! ie an empty parking lot w/o curbs.

Thumbs up Head spinning!

Ok, I'm getting a headache reading through this killer thread!
but I'm learing a lot here!!
Ok, sounds like the CC2650 motor I have on 4s will work great..
but now I cannot decide between the GTP2e, the DM-1, Or the Dirt Oval??
I am looking for a blacktop basher, but with the new traxxas car I may build a XO killer on 6s!
I have several motors to choose from
CC2650
CC1520 (1600kv)
Medusa 3670 2300kv
Medusa 3680 1600kv
someone help me choose...

Looks great for being your 1st prototype, maybe consider manufacturing more of your kits to sell.

Nothing wrong with making a little extra coin and helping GT guys around the world at the same time. It takes a little work and small investment, but itís very rewarding when you see others enjoying your product.

The only downside are the typical jealous idiots that might badmouth you for being an entrepreneur and innovator, but you seem to have the talent needed to build great products for racers. Something to think about, Merry Christmas!

Good luck with your project!

Default Tires

Hey guys how's it going?
I am new to the on-road scene. I will be getting my GTP2e soon.
I live in a hot climate and I am wondering if these tires would be ok to use for just parking lot bashing.

Thanks

Sweeps makes good tires - but a couple of cautions, the one you gave a link to is Shore 45, which is a soft compound rubber - will wear quickly on hot asphalt. Which is one of the determining factors for choosing tires. The other is the surface - if it's a parking lot, I assume you'll have a fair amount of dust and sand, therefore I'd use a treaded tire. For high speeds - definitely belted.

I've had good luck with Sweeps 45, but on cool asphalt, and I only use treaded. For hotter asphalt, I've had the best luck with GRP B compound treaded & belted. Only place I've found them consistently in US is RCBoyz as far as I know they only come pre-mounted on white wheels - but they hookup well, and wear better than anything else I've tried.

Hope that helps.

Thanks so much for the help man. Yea I would say the surface would have some dust/sand. I am looking at the 55deg treaded tires from RCBoyz's Ebay but none are belted. The 50deg is belted, would that be ok? What does EXP means?
I would love the black ones but these will do for now lol.

Have anyone used this servo?

It looks taller, Im wondering if it'll fit.

Thanks

Steve, is that weight difference just with your carbon fiber changes, or did you have to change other items as well?

Also, i just left your site was wanderring 2x things:

1) is your GTP2E chassis set up to run velco straps for those trying to keep the battery low for lowest possible CG

2) if you had a Redemption code for RcTech members

Also, would you consider doing a carbon fiber rear wing for the cars.. they made a huge difference in 1/5 racing
