...well may have to give up the 1/8 on road, local track allows belt drive 1/8's but apparantly the shaft drive 1/8 on roaders are "too noisy".

...wtf?

Default a few photos of my ride

just posting a few photos of my GTP2e. and take notice to me very cheap and effective mod i had on my nitro that only costs 8 bucks. I put a front bumper without the foam and a few cut down body posts and place it in the rear. I also ream a couple of holes in it to act as finger holes to help pickup and carry. im sure it helps with the airflow going in the body.

No I run the hardcase battery 2 2s Turnigy 5200mah. I think it because I run aluminum drive shaft and 1/10 Castle MMP which is a lot lighter than your Hobbywing ESC.

I see ofna is coming out with a ready to run version of LX2e buggy, they probably will have a ready to run version of gtp2e soon. In the few pictures shown for the rtr buggy, the motor and speed control looks like generic made with rebrand of HongNor.

I am curious what a Havok Pro with a 6.5t ballistic? would handle in a gtp2e? . Im selling my erbe and had someone offer me a gtp2e and a havocpro combo in trade. just wondering how the sc combo would work in the 1/8 on road?

Default My conversion nearly done ,teaser pics

My conversion is almost done, heres some tease pics of the parts I made.
Aluminum is 7075,and Titanium 6ALV4
I have a older gtp, with a 4mm cnc option chassis ,converting to BL
Sorry but this is my first attemp at using a mill, no cnc , so parts are alittle rough

Motor mount

Stand up servo mount

DM1 bumper adapters ,titanium

I'll let you guess what these are for

Next up carbon parts, I cut on my mill,

I went cheap and used abs sheet to make a battery tray

Default Largest pinion for stock GTP2E?

I'm definitely interested in getting a GTP2E, mostly for bashing in the street/parking lots and doing speed runs.

Can someone tell me the largest pinion that will fit using the stock motor mount and 51T spur gear?

Thanks.

Nexxus,

That sounds so typical; we see that around the world.

Many of the 1/8 scale and 200mm guys refuse to allow our GT cars to run on tracks; guess they don’t want other people to see them running and join in on the fun we’re having.
