googled...........
Mod 0.8 and 32P are practically identical, and are definitely interchangeable.

The conversion is 25.4 divided by the Mod number gives the "imperial" pitch i.e. 25.4 div by 0.8 gives 31.75P equivalent (so definitely NOT 34P), which is close enough - less than 1% difference - that they can be used interchangeably.

Mod-0.5 and 48P are the two that would catch most people out, being about 6% different which is close enough to mix them up, but different enough to be noisy and increase wear. Mod-0.5 is common in helicopters.

Nobody asked, but Tamiya pitch is Mod 0.6 - roughly equivalent to 42P

i got the same issue. got e brushless revo that takes mod 0.8 and now a gtp2e that takes 1.0. and the pinions for both cars and about the same tooth wise. The Robinson racing spur for the revo is a 32 pitch tho.

So now that I won my bid on a Mamba monster with 2200kv motor I need pinion options. Going to run 4s around 40c 5000mah. And also I have a nitro gtp2 that's going to be used for parts. Is it possible to get a 2 speed pinion setup or is in not needed with brushless power

Not racing just lot bashing

i was always under the impression that the shift in a 2speed did more harm than good to higher power electric drive systems. When i converted my Revo3.3 to electric it was made really clear from multiple sources that i had to lock the nitro tans into 2nd gear. i didn't argue much and did it as recommended.

For gearing, im just going stock to begin with. i have the 51t spur (i think, bought used and car was relatively new so im assuming it is still the 51t, suppose i could count it) and 14t pinion. I also have a 2200kv here that i can use and not have to buy anything but i might buy at the very lease a new 2650 motor and swap ESC between rigs.
