I believe this chart is pretty accurate....unless something has changed.

Anyone have anything good or bad to say about the Orion 1950 set up available from Amain?

47t steel spur gear fits although it's not under the GTP2e parts list.

it's a Titan/Blazer part originally but it fits on the center spool just fine. The only problem with running the steel spurs is the pinions wear out quicker.

My suggestion would be to keep the 51T plastic spur until you start running out of motor mount.

Hey guys. Been reading the thread but tons of pages so ill just tell my story. I have a gtp2 nitro that I broke in and bashed once. Well my water heater broke and rusted out almost every metal part on the car. Some things were saved like the diffs aome drive cups and front drive shafts.

Well today I got a gtp2e roller seeing I had a tone of extra parts and a decent price. Now for power system. I also about a month ago got a brushless revo withMMM 2200 system. So do a get a tekin for the revo and put the castle in the gtp, get another castle system or go tekin combo for car. No racing just bashing for me.

Also do the diffs come grease filled or oil and are the harderned diff bevial gear nessesary.

If you have an existing Castle system (with castle link) I would stick with the castle product as it's pretty solid and adjustable. Most people in the forums run motors ranging 2000kv to 2650kv so you are in the right ball park.

Try 16/17 pinion with the stock 51T spur. This should get you 45-48mph with low motor temps.

Diffs come grease filled but the oil is fairly light. For Drag Racing you will want to increase it to 50k-100k front / 10-30k rear.

The hardened diff gears are not necessary using 4S power. If you are regularly going to be using 6S power then I would recommend it.

Thanks. Planning on 4s. But have to buy a motor esc anyways. So put a tekin in gtp and keep castle in revo. Or the tekin in revo and swap castle to gtp. Running 6s in revo. Thinking the sensored in gtp would be better tho

For racing the Tekin has an advantage but for bashing, speed runs, or dragracing you just can't beat the castle.

Castle = Sensorless System
Advantage = Cost
Disadvantage = Initial Cogging, low speed acceleration is poor.

Tekin = Sensored System
Advantage = No Cogging, Good Low speed acceleration, Boost.
Disadvantage = Cost, More things to go wrong (sensor system).
