I'm running a stock gearing setup right now with the 2200 Tekin motor. I'm running on 4s, but want to go into 5s. Should I gear differently for heat reasons? Right now, I am just doing speed runs.
Thanks

Just recieved my snr chassis and front and rear towers today. Very nice stuff. But I have a few questions about the chassis. First, I see that it eliminates the side guards. Is there a different setup for the rx box so that its not hanging so far off the side of the chassis? Also noticed that the chassis is a little longer and has 3 extra holes in the front and 2 extra in the rear. What are these for? Doesnt look like the stock front bumper will even mount up now. Is there a different setup that you guys are running? Part #'s and pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Cool

Well I jusy got off the phone with steve. Very nice guy. It seems that I have gotten his very first gtp2e chassis that he made using features from the dm1. Now able to use the dm1 front bumper instead of the gtp front bumper. This way you can inrease the ground clearance in the front so that you can lower the center of gravity. Now you can also use the rear deflector from the dm1 also in the rear with the gtp2e. I will get some pics up of it tonight.

At the time I ordered, he didnt have the front top plate, center top plate, or steering drag link in stock. I will be placing another order for these. I also asked him about the front upper arm support, and he said he should have it in a few days. Im just waiting for everything to be in stock before my next order is placed. Heres what I have for now.

Got all the edges sealed and everything together. I have to say, fit and finish on these is excellent. I have a savage flux with quite a bit of c/f on it also, and needed a dremel near by for assembly. Every thing went together with no issues. So far, I have the SNR front and rear towers, and chassis, Tekin RX8 2250, Savox 1258. Waiting on a couple of sets of sweeps, slicks and treaded, and a few more pinions. Gonna start out with 18/47 and go from there. Right now I have 50wt in the rear diff and 125wt in the front, 60wt in all the shocks. Gonna be ordering a few more things from SNR here shortly.

Wow!! That's gonna be crazy fast!!! I'm geared 16/48 and my rig is really fast. I'm also running the Tekin 2250kv and RX8. Just go easy on the throttle at first. Good Luck!

Check out page 3 of this link. It tells you what's good in regards to kv vs lipo cells. If you are gonna go 5s, you'll need to get a different motor.

Default Tire tips

What's the best way to glue tires? I'm having a hard keeping the two part foam from rolling over.

It's a nightmare my friend to try and put those tires and wheels together with that crazy foam. I always buy pre-mounted Sweeps, PMTs and Ipanema tires. I know it's not recommended by most but I'm a very lazy guy.

Hopefully, someone will provide some advice to you. Good luck!!

LOL...same here. Buy some pre mounted ones! Wayyyy to much work involved with the ones that come with the kit.
