I don't think battery fitment should be a problem. The tray comes from the OFNA LX-1 electric buggy so it should fit any standard size 2s or 4s hardcase pack. The OFNA guys run 1/8th electric offroad regularly so I doubt battery fitment would ever be a problem. Just get any standard hardcase 4s pack.

I have the older E-converted nitro version with the 44/14 diffs and these things can really go. I did however had to update the diffs with the heavy duty diff ring gears, as the stock onces did not last too long with the power overdose. I've ran 10s A123 with a 1512 1400kv tekno neu motor. I dragrace with 4s2p A123's and bash around with a 4s hardcase lipo. Motors use with the lower voltage are in the 3000-4000kv range. Torque wise, a 1512 size 4 pole motor or a 2 pole C50-L size Hacker motor are perfect. I've ran a 1515 2700kv Tekno Neu and it was just too much power for the poor diffs. I'm guessing the 43/13 buggy diffs in the GT2E should be the updated/upgraded version to deal with the brushless power.

Still debating picking one of these up to convert to rally.

I could use a couple questions answered to anyone who has one it would be greatly appreciated.

Would it be possible to raise the suspension enough to get a bit of ground clearance to use for offroad?

How big are the tires, would I be able to throw some buggy wheels and tires on there?

How do you think one of these would hold up to some light jumps and offroad bashing? Im guessing since its based on the buggy itll be pretty tought.

Thanks guys!

What bodies will fit on these? I'm interested in a scale look.

I am going to try a 2050kv setup. Will see how it runs with that in it. What brand of lipo packs are you guys running so far?

Trying to get into this class as cost effectively as I can. I am currently waiting for this pack to arrive. http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...dProduct=10869
I've purchased several packs from them in the past and have been happy with them. Especially for the price.

The chassis is the same as the buggy. All you have to do is the make the adjustment to the shocks to allow for longer travel and add the necessary clrearances on your body for the buggy tires and raised suspension. You may also have to use the buggy springs which are longer and softer. Thats it.

Thanks. How much bigger are buggy wheels and tires compared to the stock tires? Also wondering if there is just an 8th scale car tire thats for offroad that would be better to use.

The inner diameter of the tire is the same. A buggy tire would fit just fine. Just find something with a low profile.
