Hello LosiPat, definitely our body will be very good to what you are propose to do.
The Alpha R2 have good down force originated by your design , so in our body, we can say, more speed equal more down force .
Soon we will post a video of a new record of speed in Brazil , the driver will run your r/c car with Alpha R2. Over 112 mph !!!
Will be a good test !!

Smallest spur and the biggest pinion you can find
I think someone is selling a 26p (Hot bodies) and I think there is a 30p being made. As soon as I get my hands on my new car I will be more help.

You're correct. RC-Monster has them, just ordered a 28T and 30T.

Wow!!! Since you guys are just going for the top speed, I'm assuming the stock tires should be fine. No need in investing in a set of Sweeps or PMTs unless you decide to race later on. IGT Hobbies carries the Sweeps and FG Supplies carries the PMTs should you decide to race after your speed runs. Good Luck!!

I'm wondering if the stock tires can handle 100mph.

Just ordered a 24T and a 30T .. 5mm Mod 1... bit of a shot in the dark as I have no idea what to expect here and $50 to Canada was hard to swallow for a couple of little pinions.

No stock tires can not handle that speed, they have to be belted tires!!!

We currently sell up to a 25T pinion, but will be getting bigger pinions in from RC-Monster.

We are also getting some new tires in from Alpha that are built specifically for brush less speed runs. Once I get them on the site, I will post a link.

The RCM pinions are best. Bummer that I can fit a 28T pinion with the spool.

I'll be waiting on those brushless tires.

Here's a video of "JR's" GT running 119 mph on Ipanema 60 shore slicks.

Enjoy!

+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

We hope to break the 120 mph barrier with our new wide rear slicks this weekend. We'll keep you up to speed!

See ya the races!
