Thanks for that info kcunamay, I got the kit plus the cc2650 combo off nitrohouse, I also bought a tekin 2650 and I'll see which 1 I like and sell the other one on ebay.
In relation to the Tyres, do you glue the narrower foam to the wheel?, do you know of any YouTube vids that show the fitting of the tires.

Anyway can't wait for it to turn up now!!!

What kind of temps are you guys getting running the 2650 on 4s?

Are vent holes on the body used on electric onroad? I know with 1/8 buggy, its a necessity.

I'll temp it next sunday during race conditions.

But as a measuring stick... I can hold the motor with my bare hands after killing a 4500mah 4s pack bashing around in front of my house. No holes on my body aside from the body posts. I have no fans on the motor and I am running the stock gearing.

I guess you could....but I didn't. Just glued the ends of the thick and thin foams together, put them into the tires and then mounted them onto the wheels.

The tires are great for bashing around. Even when completely bald, they have life until the tires get too thin and tear apart.

Those tires were no joke when I had to mount them. I did a crappy job and now all I have for my DM-1 S is pre-mounted stuff. PMTs and Sweeps. You can also buy the OFNA stuff premounted but those are just good for bashing as it was previoulsy mentioned by someone else. Good Luck!!

Wow!! That sounds really low temp. I'm curious, what's your gearing (stock ??) and motor/ESC setup. I'm running a 6500 mah so I can see mine getting a little hotter.

Do you trim any off the foams before glueing them?, they seem long!!!

When I was running the GTP2E, I ran the stock gearing of 51/14 with the RX8/2650KV combo

It didn't get very hot at all. I was just bashing around though. I believe using the brakes is what generates the most heat, therefore race conditions will probably get the temps a little warmer. Last time at corona, I didn't temp the motor so, I don't have a solid number to provide. But I am certain it was well below the max of 180 degrees I've been told to stay under. If I had to guess....perhaps 130?

The WOT runs I do on my street, turn around and then do it again till the voltage cutoff kicks in just isn't enough to stress things out.

Well I blew up my Pletty last Sunday. Was the perfect kv and powerband for the GTP. My next motor options are either another Pletty Max, C50-8L Hacker or the 2650 Tekin. The reason I like the Pletty and Hacker motor, is the spoolup is quicker for onroad and dragracing. But there goes the money I was going to use to buy SNR chassis.
So for now I swapped in the Pletty BigMax, which is 2300kv. Too much torque, even with the smaller spur and 23T pinion.
Well the KingHeadz parts arrived and installed the extra beef. I'm using the hardend ring gears in the diffs as well. I can throw whatever power at my diffs now and not have to worry about breaking the plastic diff case cap again.

Pletty blown up rotor

These are the caps I use on my Tekin esc's.

Sorry to post this again but these foams piss me off, can you buy one piece foams for these things or is there something I'm missing? I even took them down to my LHS and he handed them back lol.

Can someone walk me through it?

Ps. HELP
