pivot ball allows the ease of TOE adjustments. A simple turn of the allen wrench and you're done. To change toe on the GTP2E, you need to change the rear toe block or the uprights.

The shocks for the rear of the GTP2E are longer than the front. I'm guessing that the OVAL car uses 4 GTP2E front shocks all the way around.

You are correct Jai. All the shocks are the front ones. I am thinking of converting to the rear Pivot Ball myself...im thinking i need about another 1.5 degrees of rear toe.

I think the oval late model chassis is much better for onroad in the long run.

  1. Pivot ball suspension for easy adjustments.
  2. Shorter rear shocks to allow for lower profile body choices like this one from OFNA:

Thanks for the tip Justpassedu

No problem I think I may switch my order up now to the dirt oval but before i do , will the shorter shocks make the car lower bc I will mostly be running on the street ? Wouldn't this be a bad thing bc I'll be bottoming out? Also can you post a link of that body you are talking about bc I can't see the image. Someone also stated it has a offset motor mount , what does this mean and will it affect me running a larger pinion with a 2650kv motor for speed runs? Thankyou

Nitrohouse says it has a solid center spool with a 51t spur gear. Any problem with this?

Edit: spoke to dj at ofna , no go , everything is centered to the left for left hand turning...

I don't see how. From the pics the chassis layout for both are identical.

Late model oval

GTP2e

On the Electric GTP2e and Late Model e it is the same chassis. Only in the Nitro version the Late Model the center diff is more center of the chassis and the center dogbones are straight.

Hi guys,

This is for a very good friend.

He just bought a GTP2-E for 14.8v 4S class, he have 2 motors from Tekin a 2.050kv short Buggy style motor, and a 2.000kv long Truggy style motor, along with the RX8 ESC from Tekin.

He asked me to post here, in order to find out wich would be the best gearing for any of this 2 motors, for a medium size track.

thanks a lot,
