ok.. GTP2e will be under going Rally-formation in a bit and thinking bout getting the LX2e shocks and shock towers. Are these direct bolt on for more suspension travel? Thinking those are the only things I really need besides cosmetics stuff.

From what I can tell, from all the reading I did on the car before I got it should work. I believe the car is based off the Ultra LX platform anyway which is a buggy so you should be good. Probably can run a taller tire also for a little more clearance too.

I don't want to double post so I'll ask my question here as well. I started with the stock 14T gearing and went to a 17T, HK120A w/ Turnigy 2560kv motor. At first all was good( I wasn't really pushing it/Maiden runs) then on 17T esc would go into safe/overheat mode if I held it WOT/multiple passes for a bit or did donuts I'm assuming it was the esc and not the motor since the motor was only 130-140f. So I geared down back to 14T and the temp went up to motor186f esc145f, so I was like wtf. I then went to 20T which I ordered a few days ago and now the motor temp is 120-130f and I can blast up and down the street for 5-10min without it going into safe mode. So I'm confused now, should I try a 22-23 and see if it goes down some more? I thought gearing down would cool it but obviously not in this case. I guess since the motor couldn't put that down it turned it into heat is this correct? I'm thinking it was severely under geared. I was a nitro 1/10 then gas 1/5 guy before so I'm teaching myself with brushless as I go. Here are the specs if needed

2650kv turnigy 129A max
HKesc 120A cont 780A burst(10 sec)
batts 5000mah turnigy 25-35c = 125-175A, turnigy 4000mah 30-40c = 120-160A

Also do you guys run the front bumper foam on yours? I had to trim it down some to let air flow in and the temps dropped another 10-15f.

I think you just need to replace the shafts in the shocks. That would save you a lot of mulah

Got my SNR chassis last night finally Cant wait to do this conversion.
Do i need a linger rear chassis brace? Never even thought to ask that initially.
I bought the longer rear dogbone and DM1 f/r bumpers already.
Just wondering now about the rear chassis brace.

I bought a 114mm swingshaft and it is certainly not that long.
I ordered a 114mm Ofna Swingshaft over the Kyosho 114mm shaft that SNR mentioned a few pages back (wasnt in stock when i ordered)
Why would it be that much shorter? Or do the measure them different?
It is 114mm from tip to tip.

I'll reorder the Kyosho unit if i need to, just curious.

Little bit more digging the Kyosho is 120mm overall. (114mm to the pins) The ofna is only 114mm overall.
Kyosho swing-shaft ordered. (its in stock now)
