So checked Amain for some foam and see that Ofna has some Foam for their GT cars.

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...mm-Medium-Soft

This is a pair of optional OFNA Green Dot Medium/Soft Compound (35-39 Shore) Foam Tires,
Specifications:
Diameter: 105mm (4.1")
Width: 40mm (1.6")
Hex Size: 17mm (0.67")

However they also have some that are cheaper with "35 shore", will the below wheels/tires work as well? They don't show the specs so don't wanna gamble and order them.

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...Tires-35-Shore

Also, being new to on-road what does these "shore" rating? is that the width?

those exceed wheels are for 1/8 pan car. I think, but regardless not even close to fitting the GTP2e

I have a set of the Ofna foams, they have held up decently. Side bite is a touch lacking due to how narrow they are. I usually stick to my Kyosho rubbers or Sweeps

Are you talking the 42 or 46?
I run mine with 21/46 and im more than happy with it.
On the calculator it shows me a TTS of 59.1 mph which is more than enough for me and my driving style.
Haven't ever run into a heat issue with that gearing either.

Is that on a 3.14:1 diff gear ratio?

stock differentials, i have never put it to a radar gun, all i know is i can burn a pack through and it is still decent temps. I just road bash, so it is never really sustained driving, stopping for traffic etc..

My setup on script-asylum for the GTP2e below.

Can anyone tell me if the GTP2e and the Ofna Dirt Oval have the same final drive ratios . My GTP2e with a 2650 on 4s seemed alot quicker then my dirt oval running same setup . I thought I had read somwhere that they have the same diffs and final drives but for some reason my dirt oval doesnt seem as quick .

Yeah, it's setup on a 3.14:1 diff ratio, as you have listed in the chart.

The dirt oval uses a smaller diameter tire doesnt it? Would explain the speed difference if this is in fact the case.

So ran the GTP2e for the first time and WOW, thing is fast. Tried some speed runs on 4s and had to hit the brakes wayyy early so I don't slam into the curb, (living in a short cul-de-sac sucks). Also blew out the foams on the stock wheels on the first donut attempt, LOL. GRP belted on the way now.

Just wanted to know some folks setup on the ESC/RX8 and shocks are. The thing nose dives hard when getting on the brakes.

Setup:
rx8 esc, vegas/223
tenshock x802L 2200kv
22t pinion/stock spur
everything else stock
