Yes these things are GINORMIS. I have the same exact car but with a Tekin power system. I love the authentic C6 body. I wish everyone would run real type bodies.

A couple things to consider:

A fan/heat sink on the motor.

Be sure to check and loctite the set screws on the diff input drives cups. They usually come loose and I have seen the rear one come loose and somehow break the rear diff case. That is a big repair job. Locktite them and tighten with a good key(L) type set screw wrench.

Likewise loctite the motor pinion. This is the only electric car that I ever had to loctite the pinion set screw.

I'm assuming a CC 2650 motor? What spur and pinion are you using?

I may sound crazy but this thing will never be ran. Just an expensive shelfer.
I don't recall what my gearing is, I just tossed on one of my extras from my rc8be and rc8te so the spur is stock.
I have way to many cars, boats, planes and a few helis.
I mainly race all 10th, buggy, stadium, and short bus.
Thanks for the tips.

I work for gm and this is going to make a really cool desk conversation piece.
Too bad no one makes a c7 body yet.
I will have to change it up if anyone ever does.
We are co-workers! Nice C6 body, I'm thinking to convert my gtp2e to a long wheel base too. SNR makes a really good chassis, I've one for my RC8.2e, but i was planning to buy one original chassis from ebay "20us$" than cut the rear end and use it to extend my chassis... Or create a part from scrach to extend the chassis...
Regards!

Outta the box shock oils, shock springs and diff greases are good. Just lower the chassis, set the droop, get some Sweep, Alpha or GRP tires and maybe a real type body and go racing. Make sure you check the stuff mentioned in post #1712 above.

I believe your car is one of the biggest and best values in the R/C car market for the GT8 class of vehicle.

Got the Ghetto Sled together

Not to happy with the total over all weight with this tank, I'm ordering all the CF.....
So:

Traxxsucks X0-1 skins
22T HPI pinion.
Savox servo.
2200 KV
TP 65C 6s

I'll tell ya right now I'm not a fan of this CC link, It's my first one and what a pain in the arse.

Seeing OldnFats stretched GTP2e really makes me want to do that...

I have a Kyosho C6r on my Traxxas ERBE-GT but the Ofna handles so much better.
I almost want to do it to run my SC8 race truck body on it too.
