You came out of retirement for that?!

The cars felt great, in spite of having to use a Tinkertoy radio to drive them both. Lots of steering and grip everywhere on the track.

For reference, the existing steering post hole is approximately half covered by the front of my servo with how it is installed now.

Now that I've tested the position intially I may move the servo back a little bit to see if there is any advantage but I think the weight of the servo 2 mm forward or back from where it is now is minor compared to the difference that the servo throw/leverage makes with the modification.

Thanks to both. I might have to try this one......

Hey does anyone know if these will come with lube? Or am I just gonna get it dry?

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...enter-Orange-2

buy 2 and cost is 1/5 the cost of the whole car not to mention the other parts needed. Will they release an entire upgrade kit to reduce cost?

I have a T3 and was thinking of getting them until I ran my 08 and was just as fast, so the 08 changed my mind. I'm waiting for a new XRAY because I know the 11 is not much different from the T3.

yeah, that's a little much. I try to spend in the US, but the HK sites have them for $38 - still pretty pricey. I might sit this one out.

Gear Diff on RC market and it looked like a converted NT1 diff
Is anyone tried or running this gear diff ...

Product name - "Gear diff 38T for T3/T2 series 38T"

Kenji,

It's a converted NT1 diff the same as the flyingfox ones we're running. Works very well

You need the 50s, though there are some prototype outdrives floating around that use the 52s. The NT1 has metal internals but xray xceed and capricorn all make composite gears and lightweight pins that can be used.

Martin Hudy said xray will have a gear diff "soon" that won't leak and will allow the use of the 52s. Who knows when that will be available tho
