I guess we will see the car soon enough, but from a marketing stand point I think it will be an epic fail. Unless they can get it to exceed the 416 on a variety of track conditions, I think it spells disaster for sales. I really hope I'm wrong. Regardless if the T3 was the fastest at the worlds, they are missing the point. People want many of the features that's the current cars. Xray seems really behind Tamiya right now. The 417 has many changes and improvements, what will the T3 have? Same bat channel.
If the Tamiya is so perfect, why aren't you buying one

We need Pictures already
Tamiya are smart because they have shown images (CAD) of their new car , its released in December. Xray will probably show pictures next month, and its released a month later. With Tamiya people see it, like it, save up for it and then buy it. Xray need a wider time frame next year. I just want to see it already

Some people will buy the new T3'11 anyway.
Some people will wait for pics, then buy the new T3'11.
Some people will wait for pics, then buy something else.
Some people aren't interested in pics and buy something else.
Same for any brand of car.
As already said in this thread, they are the most popular brand at some tracks and events, they don't need to change anything about how they release.

Nope. This is how Xray always operate, and they always sell a load of kits. Whats the point in changing what they do when its already successful?

I'm in the market for a new TC, finally letting go of my FK'05's.
I'm leaning heavy to the T3'11, but I'm waiting for pics, and will then decide between it and my other options. For me, money isn't really a primary concern, but I'm looking for a car that fits my want/need list, and whatever that choice costs, it costs.
People will buy what they want, for whatever reason they want.

From what I understand they sold less than 100 T3 kits in...
the US. One of two reasons for this, one it's too expensive, or it didn't have the features people wanted.
