Can anyone tell me if there is anyone who, makes spur gears smaller than a 78 . I need a 75 spur that is 48 pitch . Thanks Lorne Slan

RW Racing make them down to 64t spur in 48 pitch. You can pick them up on ebay pretty cheap, under $10.
They work really well, the 3racing ones and Xenon spurs tend to not sit flush, the RW ones have a recess in them that lets them sit well on the layshaft, I have stripped the layshaft hole trying to get a 3racing spur to fit.

Just setup everything on the smokem chssis today!! So far real happy now just to see how she performs on the track!! Didnt even have to install balancing weights at all it was exactly balanced.

If you are using the inside servo post check to make sure the belt isn't rubbing on the post - a friend had this problem

I had a brief run with the smokem deck last night, it steered REALLY nicely but I had a little trouble getting on the gas. It was my spare car though and I didn't have time to play around with it so I think it would be easy to sort out

what would be a good motor esc combo for an unlimited motor and esc touring car class on a t3? I dont want too much but dont want too little. I was looking a tekin rs pro but dont know what size motor would be right.

If your new to the Class, I would think a 10.5 would be PLENTY enough power for a newer set of hands. Heck 13.5 boosted is pretty darn quick for the new guys.

Im running on carpet. will it really help that much? Do you run it in front or rear or both?

Hi Eric. I still think that the gear diff is faster on carpet, but like on asphalt it is harder to drive. If you want your car to be easier to drive i would still consitter a ball diff but you could loose a .1 on your hot lap. I normally find 2,000 in the rear to be the best on carpet so i would start their.

Too bad xray don't have a cover for their diffs , making the ball diff vulnerable to dust !!! You can make your own cover , or bite the bullet and run a rear gear diff with front spool and front ecs drives ...Front diffs, whether gear or ball, give too many problems...

Thanks. I am going to stick with the ball for now master that and when i want to go faster get the gear diff.
