Fold the tape over and stick it together after you cut it, then you will stop any waste.

This is by far the best strapping tape I've ever used. And it's about half the price as most colored tapes out there!

I'll give that a try. It specifically states that it doesnt separate

No big deal really, just a pita if I have to fold it every time like I do now.

BTW Xenon and TOP carries the same tape, Sliontec.

If you don't mind it being ugly, the I.R.S. tape is the best I've ever used. It's got filaments going in both directions, so it won't tear length wise, and it stays sticky for quite a while.

IRS2202

It's Scotch 8959 Bi-Directional Filament (19mm wide), but I can't seem to find anywhere to buy it in anything but bulk, so I just pay the IRS price.

Can anyone tell me if the drivetrain from the 417 will work on the 416? Meaning if you change to the 417 center pulleys and belts will they work on the 416?

Just a tip. I usually slice in half my strapping tape and put in two strips of it just for security reasons, in-case one loosens up or gets cut. A set would usually last me three runs, then it gets all dusty from track dirt.

It's truly fantastic tape, and I always love to support a great shop like Nexus Racing. I sometimes go 10+ batteries without having to change the tape, it's that sticky and holds together that well.

What a great suprise... walk past the security gate at work this morning, and get handed a huge parcel... my 417 is here
Shame I now have to do a full days work before I can even go home to start building, although I do have a tickle in my throat...

I don't -think- the center pulley will fit. I'll try to verify tonight for sure. I need to stop my 417 build and get my 416 ready for practice this week. I'm waiting on parts for the 417 to build it the way I'd like. The new center pulley doesn't have the belts offset from the spur gear like the 416, they're exactly the same distance, and the spur rides in this tiny little slot in the top deck. It looks f*ing dialed.

Also, this new ball diff is a really nice improvement. It's a chunky monkey, but having the hubs fill the pulley is awesome. It looks like a direct fit in the 416.
