haven't come across any bad machined 3racing parts, but, i have to say the consistency of finishing on the Tamiya is better. And you ave to look really hard

I guess that allows them to cut down on tooling costs. Strange that they would do that on their flagship touring car tho. I deduct 20 points for this lol
I have come across alot of poorly machined 3 racing parts, Back in the day Serpent USA was the US distributer. I had 3 racing parts like it was going out of style, their pivot balls were machined to large so they would bind, they had steps machined into them rather than radiused joints, the fit was never right, the steel / al wasn't as strong and anything that housed a bearing was either to tight or to loose. The machining didn't really leave much for rough tool marks but I wouldn't put 3 racing on my car again after all of that. Soon after that Serpent USA dropped 3 racing's product line.

I remember seeing and reading it on a japan site. it showed two 416 kits both purchased in HK but at two diff stores. It showed two totally differnt looking chassis which had different pattern and color and also the blue aluminum were kinda off color. Tried to google translate it and just remember reading something about Tamiya mass production in China factory. I mean I know china has a 416we clone but what was shown clearly showed an original tamiya packaged box.

i got my rc fellas playing the tamiya tt01... the 3 racing alu front knuckles real hell of bad poor job... even have trouble inserting bearings.. some area too tight some too lose. the mount steering link also not evenly crafted...

I don't know if it was covered before, but why did they go back to alloy center pulleys? I always thought those had some sort of wear problems on the older 415's...
