Hi. Are there other essential upgrades you need to put in the TRF 417v5?
Thanks!
Thanks!

The big two changes two make it work on "typical" tracks as opposed to the unique conditions faced at the worlds are normal shocks - as opposed to the aeration ones - and less narrow suspension blocks - say, C/C and XA/E.

Hi,
Does anyone has idea where I can buy new lower deck for 417v5?
If you can send me link or you have a brand new, pls let me know.
v5 lower deck is out of stock what I have seen. What else deck can I use instead? is 418 usable with 417v5?
Thanks
Marton

thanks.
Any better price for the original one, 100EUR sounds a bit expensive. :-)

Noob question alert!
I want to experiment with different weight oils in the rear diff of my 417V5.
1) Do I need to actively clean/rinse whatever oil I have in there before putting a different one in?
or
2) can I just let it drain out - near enough is good enough?
if (1), is there a particular process or chemical I should use?
I do have a spare diff in my bag, but I'm thinking of going super heavy oil and sticking that one in the front of the car, as a separate experiment.
Phil.

I clean my stuff with wurth motor spray (except o-rings!)
Same for shocks when rebuilding those.

Modelbau-seidel has everything for the most recent TRF's.

Hi,
Following a 2 year break, I decided to go back racing with my original 417. I have stripped it completely to change some pins and parts but was wondering, is it worth getting the titanium coated suspensions shaft and suspension rods ? Or stainless steel is enough ?
Cheers!
