I have no idea what you are on about... What is the latest & greatest, Xray springs have been around for years!!!

If you look through all the Team Drivers like Marc, Jilles, Elliott & co, they have only used, Ride, HPI, and HB. Being Tamiya team drivers that might suggest something about Tamiya springs, eh ???

Mostly Tamiya drivers use Tamiya springs for indoor carpet, and HPI for outdoor looking at the set-up sheets.

Looking at the front of your car, it looks like the front diff is not straight between the bulkheads.
Are your belt tensioners mounted the same?
As in the dots on the holders are facing the same direction???
Also isn't that servo a bit on the large size??

regards Roy

Test back to back and you will find lap times to be the same. Sometimes changing shock oil is needed. I know people like to use what everyone else is using. I found it doesn't mean it is actually any faster. Reinhard couldn't set a car up if his life depended on it. He's just a wheel.

You could try and flip the belt (take it of and re-install going the other direction) to see if it runs on the right side of the pulley as your pics show it to be running on the left side of the pulley.
May be the weave in the belt forcing it to run on the left side of the pulley.

Check the eccentrics on the bearings are set the same.

Mine does rub a little on the servo mount but seems to not affect performance.

Agreed... White/Blue is still the ticket on carpet, and why you would want to pay through the nose for Xray springs is beyond me..

The belt will naturally touch rub against the servo mount a little, although if it's pressing hard then something is obviously wrong.
Don't forget you can shim the centre pulley out to the right of the car as well, this will help to guide the belt further away from the centre.

Tamiya (White/Blue) for carpet and HPI springs for asphalt. So the Tamiya springs are being used!
