Hello all

Would anyone advise what kind of settings can provide more on-power steering? My car is experiencing on-power push but off-power steering is very good.

Thanks.

Had about a year off from on-road racing, but will have a 417 on it's way shortly. Going to see about making the Reedy Race in May. A lot has changed with the TC world in the past year, can't wait to try the LiPo generation of cars out!

I'm not a setup wizard, but I'd try - bit less front droop, more front camber maybe firmer spring on the rear. And Try 0.7 or 1mm under the "front" REAR suspension block, add a bit of antisquat.

It will be nice to have another Tamiya guy at the track to help with questions

Ahh, was going to order my car this week but the Tamiya USA website is showing out of stock. As soon as they get them back in, I'll have one on it's way!

My diff is still butter smooth after 4 race meets and 20 packs of practice. I took some extra time sanding both sides of the diff rings. Used stealth grease on the balls (stock) and the Tamiya anti-wear on the thrust. All I can think is the smooth surface and micro scratches allows you to run the diff loose but not slip. Btw, I run 17.5.

I was able to run 416 diffs in mod for at least 4-6 racedays before rebuilding. Just like Electro said, taking a little extra time building the diff will make it last a lot longer. I would recommend the Tamiya 3mm ceramic balls, they should last through a few diff rebuilds without needing replacing and are smoother than the stock steel balls. The Tamiya 3mm carbide balls will generally build a smoother diff, but will need to be replaced with each rebuild.

The HB springs that are used for asphalt set ups. Are these the same springs that were used on the HPI pro 4?
