Anybody have a part number for a 1.3mm front sway bar?

I have several, but I have no idea what they came from or how to get them again...

Can't you use the TA06 ones? 54309?

I believe they are in the TA06 sway bar kit.

Anybody have a setup they use for VTA? I am running a stock 417 chassis. I have looked at petitrc...and have tried various setups from there. I just didn't know if anybody had a VTA setup that they wanted to share? Running on med/high grip ozite. The track is the same size and layout as the Vegas IIC Race.

USVTA Southern Nationals @ Thunder RC, Nashville TN

Thank you
Chad

I am looking at rebuilding my 417 v5 and while creating a list of parts I need to get for it I saw the 417 centre one way pulley set.

Since that pulley setup uses screws to hold the spur gear onto the pulley instead of the "key" method on the standard pulley which will allow for a greater range of spur gear, has anyone been able to lock up one of those one ways and use that instead?

I recently bought a used 417v5 from and it came with multiple sets of springs. They are all white but on the bottom they are marked with different colored dots on the bottom. In order of hardness by feel- yellow silver blue gold (gold is hardest) I looked at all the spring charts but these colors don't seem to match up. Does anyone know brand they might be, because I have recently been chasing a good setup and would like to know how these compare or should I just throw these in the bin and buy the HPI silvers as I am going to be racing on asphalt?

You have pics? Maybe some of them are Yokomo springs?

Arise from the dead o' 417 thread (bit of a shock that Tamiya are already rolling out the 419, but whateves).

Just wondering if anyone here has some 417v5 lower decks that they want to sell?

Default newbie question

Hi.

Which is better for 21.5 or 17.5 racing? A TRF 417 v5 or TRF 418?

Thanks.

I have started up in TC "the hard way" in modified. The guys racing stock (13.5T) are scratching their behinds, taking a drink, maybe eating a little, on the strait. I would for sure rule out the 21.5T, and maybe thinking that even the 17.5T is too slow. Maybe a 13.5T is a good starting point if you want some speed to develop your skills with.

417v5 or 418. I have both. Even for skilled drivers the 417v5 is good. If you are not a skilled driver, I would believe it doesn't matter much, the potential in both chassis are on a much higher level than you anyway.

I try to set up my v5 for carpet, and look at setup sheets on petitrc.com, like this one:

http://www.petitrc.com/reglages/tami...ional20130210/

Most of the setup sheets specifies "Tamiya white" and "Tamiya blue".

I can find a set of springs with part number 53440, where the springs are different colours.

I can find another set of springs with part number 53333, where the springs are also in different colours.

And I can find a set of springs with part number 49382, where the springs are all white, but with a little colour marking in the end.

From which set are the "Tamiya white" and "Tamiya blue" from that the setup sheets uses?

The 417v5 manual says part number 53440 on the white/yellow springs in the kit, so maybe it is the white/blue springs from the 53440 set?
