Default Gear diff 1mm screws

Building a new v2 diff, but when it came to tighten those tiny screws with a counter sunk 1 mm hex head, it's quite awkward to tighten without damaging the head.

What is everyone else dosing... Do you replace them with Philips heads.
If so where do you get it from?

Thanks

Sounds like you are possibly using the wrong sized wrench. On all of my Tamiya gear diffs I have always used the same 1.5mm wench I use to adjust the droop screws and have never stripped a screw head.

The 1.5mm hex will not fit.
Got the verniers out and the size of the L shapped allen key that fits is approx 1.4mm. Maybe its imperial?

Use a small torx T-6 tool. Fits good.

Your're lucky. For some reason I cannot my TRF 1.5mm tool. Well, I take that back, I was able to fit into one gear diff screw.

Its just the paint on the screws that makes the 1.5mm tight. Using a slightly worn driver helps but you can use a new one if you are careful

Thanks in advance
Raising the front blocks will most likely result in less steering. You can try raise the rear to 1mm for high grip, otherwise post your setup and we can help

Default V5 Chassis

I had some bad luck this weekend and broke my V5 chassis. I caught the rear wheel on a protruding board and the rear suspension arm pulled right through the carbon chassis damaging it beyond repair. I am now trying to locate a replacement V5 chassis but can't seem to find one in stock. Does anyone know any site that has these in stock?

You can always get a Smokem 417FX chassis. They work very well on the V5.
