I must be missing something here, because if the photo which is on the part description is accurate it shouldnt fit the 417 4-pin design, normally the 6 hole centre spur gears won't fit without modifying them.

Watch the video; the picture seems to show the older version. The gear in the video has many holes to fit 'just about any touring car chassis' and it is shown with the Tamiya 4-pole gear adapter in place.

Default chassis 417 for 416

Guys, have an 416we and just wondering can i change chassis plate for 417 plate? Will all the parts fit on it with no problem or do i need to replace something? I think upper plate will need to use fron 417 as well...?

Don't think so.
Why not buy the Exotek chassis kit?
Then you have a lipo chassis with better flex then the original chassis.
If you can get your hand on the original lipo kit from Tamiya, that would even better.
Used to run that against a 417(no X) and i got the 416X with lipo kit faster then the 417.

Regards Roy

Bugger
They don't sell it any more
Search e-bay or perhaps in the for sale section.

Where do i start.......Bulkheads,shocktowers,belt,motormount, chassis, topdeck, spurgear adaptor and the bulkheads are closer to each other.
Ballpark is, better buy a 417 then try to convert your 416 to something that can't.
Best thing you can do is if you want all your parts from the WE to be used, buy a 416X or 416WE with lipo chassis.
I sold mine beginning of this year.
It was in mint condition and with enough parts to build a second car

regards Roy

Most people use a Tyre Sander;

This spins the tyres up, then you use a small piece of sandpaper to removed the mold line in the centre.
The shine shouldn't matter, just clean and use the additive.

Some new developments of the TRF417 include a new motor position, increased motor mount rigidity, an improved secondary gear ratio reduction, optimized chassis layout, re-designed steering linkage, and extra durable ball diffs. All these new changes allow the machine handle superbly while cornering. Also loaded on the TRF417 is an assortment of proven parts seen on the TRF416X such as short reversible suspension arms and uprights with 1050 ball bearings which help reduce friction loss experienced when cornering. In addition, the TRF417 comes with identical front and rear bulkheads and is compatible with a wide variety of TRF parts. Come and try the high performance and superb cornering handling performance of the TRF417.
