What differences in handling are there in a thicker vs thinner lower and top decks?

The 417MX is similar in stiffness to the new V5 chassis. It's a solid performer and will work well on asphalt and carpet.

I have a 417x V5 Premium package that i'm thinking about selling. Got it brand new and personally built it myself. it has 1 practice day and 1 race day on it. Let me know if you're interested.

Default Motor mount

Hi guys just wondering what motor mounts would fit the TRF 417V5
I've tryed the TCX and the screw holes dont match but that's the mount that I'm after to bring the motor Closer to the center off the car I've seen the bd7 but it costs too much.

I'm not sure what other brand motor mount is a direct fit like you want but what about milling the stock V5 motor mount plate thinner to move the motor closer to the center? You could remove 1.0-1.5mm from the motor side and still have a structurally sound motor mount I would guess.

I had the same thought recently. Has anybode here actually tried this? Any opinions on it?

Hey Jay I finally got to my PC after being out of town and the setup sheet is blank. Would you mind attaching it again? Thanks!

Only issue I see with the Raceberry chassis is there is no hole below the pinion allowing you too tighten the pinion set screw from the bottom of the car like on the V5 chassis.

I think with the yoke motor mount and different shape top deck you can do it from the top

Just what I was going to say! Based upon the looks of their stuff it looks to be very high quality. I just pre-ordered mine today.
