That's strange -> Can't post links but if you google 'trf417x reedy edition lower deck' and check speedtechrc, the following info is shown:

Tamiya 417X "Reedy Edition" Lower & Upper Deck Combo

Very Limited Quantities. These are the upper & lower decks included in the rare "Reedy Edition" 417X kits.

Includes BOTH:

Item#: 42232

RC TRF417X Lower Deck 2.5mm Thick

Item#: 42233

RC TRF417X Upper Deck 2.5mm Thick

No, that's not an error. I've physically seen the chassis in person at speedtech, it is definitely 2.5mm. I haven't seen the the reedy kit but it either comes with the 417x chassis or there is a typo in the specs.

The reedy chassis is 2.5 mm thick. I have it currently on my car for the carpet season. It is considerably stiffer compared to the 417x chassis.

The one that came with my reedy edition is 2.25. I just double checked

That is interesting. I checked mine, and its really 2.5mm. I bought the aftermarket chassis through speedtech.

So it appears that the chassis included in the kit is 2.25 and the aftermarket chassis is 2.5mm.

What is the number of the chassis in your manual, is that the same as the 417x? My 417x is14004089.

This is confusing! I think someone's got confused calling the chassis plate and top deck (42232 42233) a reedy edition? No where on the offical tamiya header card that comes with the items does it say reedy edition.

I have the non-reedy race and just checked with my micrometer, it's 2.5

The reedy race one might be 2.25 when sold together.

I'm pretty sure the Reedy edition was just a 417X with an extra gear diff, sticker sheet and Viktor's winning setup

From the photoes of jilles' car at worlds and from the v5 manual, I think that there are 0.5mm under all bulkheads,
0.5mm between the bulkheadsand the topdeck
1mm between the chassis and the motor mount so all the motor is 1mm higher
what do you think about?

I tried that and it made the car too stuck, 0.5mm under all the bulkheads and motor mount with no spacers between the bulkhead and top deck was better
