speedtechrc is your friend. The reedy edition is good if the price is close to the original... but iirc, there is only a couple hundred being made?

The reedy edition isn't that different, just go with the 417x if you can't find one.

That, we can do...if there is an interest!

A lot of people are (extremely?) partial to the famous blue...

Yeah no way I would buy a black anodized Tamiya...

unlike other cars I am proud to have a Tamiya and don't want to hide it! The more blue the better in my opinion.

Default Exotek Suspension arm Roll Center Spacers

Check these out....

http://www.muchhobby.com/shopping/pr...oducts_id=7402

Great item for those that use separate suspension mounts and like to dabble in quick roll center changes.

The only problem is that they are only available in 1.0mm & 1.5mm thickness....I'm a little confused at the fact that they are not available in 0.5mm thickness which seems to be a favorite...

Craig

Are they just the aeration caps off the 201/502 or is it a new shock cylinder as well? They look different to the 417 shock cylinder, they have a hex shape near the cap like the offroad buggies and not like the onroad shocks

I am after some comparison info from someone who has run both XRAY t3 and trf 417(CraigM Looking at you!) and for some comparisons, pros/cons on the two. I currently run xray, but I have been looking at this thread and the TRF platform for a little while and will be in the market for a new car soon.

I find the xray extremely durable (verging on indestructable) but very difficult to dial in to conditions. I am probably asking a loaded question in here but looking for honest valuable information for me to make a judgement.

Kinga you have answered your question if you are still learning X-ray is the way because will keep you in the track and finish races and have runtime but if you are fighting for the 3 spots on the podium Tamiya will sure make it easier and depends on your class if you heat in modify with Tamiya say goodbye but on stock class it should finish the race and the parts will still run for same races otherwise you need to keep changing parts.

So learning or have experience
Modify or stock
What to spend less money changing parts? Xray

They look like the front cylinders off the buggy, but the bottom cap is the tourer one and I assume the piston is off the tourer shocks too. No idea about the inside, the buggies have no bladders and two orings in the bottom

The xray is definitely more durable from a wear and tear perspective and it's a little stronger in a crash too. The xray gear diff is heaps better too. I find the tamiya easier to set up and changes less from track to track.

If you are considering a tamiya it might be an idea to hold off for the new car in December, I think it will be quite different if the WC cars are anything to go by.
