The Viper 4 pack of caps is nice, too. It might be easier to find depending on where you're shopping. I'm using it with my Hobbywing V3 and Black Diamond.

Who is the main US importer for Tamiya?

Who would be the main shops to go to for their spares, looking for a 417X chassis.
Thanks

Got an used 417, last weekend went for the first run with 10.5T boosted on it.
Changed the oil on the dampers and could not get rid of the rebound on it, we do not use rebound on our track but even taking all the air off it still have it.
Can someone give some advice, I am doing manual procedure on it.
Thanks.

Try dril a small hole in the shock cap, it helps take the air out between the bladder and the cap.

also push the piston in while screwing the cap on.

Hi just got a 417 with x bulkheads, chassis + top deck. Im now after spares, ive been looking around and from what i can see the suspension components e.g arms, hubs shocks, driveshafts etc are the same as a 416x. And the belts are the same as the 416x but not the 416. Is this correct? i dont wanna buy the wrong spares. I did try searching but couldnt find a definative answer. (I probably missed it lol)

I believe the rear belts are the same for 416x/417. The 417 front is longer.

Why guess, just download the 417 manual from petit rc and shop by part number. Many are common with 416 series, but some are not

I have my Tamiya 417x on the way I have a good deal from my buddy that own a hobby shop... I' have been driving the TC6 for the past year and really wanted to get a YOKOMO but I just couldn't pass this deal. So How is this car handles on the track for you experience driving a different brand?

416 diffs will fit just fine in a 417.
