stay round the final ratio of 7.8 to 8.0. For 111 use 27 or 28! for 113 start with 28. run for 5 minute and make sure temp is under 170 degrees

When I ran the Xenon gear, with proper mesh, the play caused some binding issues between the spur and the pinion.

Thanks for any help
There is a different spur spacer available for the xenon/panaracer spur gears, available at rc market

Hey guys.
Question for you:
Are the HPI springs blue or silver still the best for outdoors?
I see a new line of springs by HPI, the pro linear springs (HPI 6847) I was woundering if anyone tried any of those?

Believe those are the old ones, HB site says discontinued and replaced with the ones we've always used; 6543 silver, 6542 blue.

I find myself using silver all the time, but blue and pink are both good to have in the kit.

anybody try using the sakura gear diff in their 417? any issues with the belts stripping?
kinda getting tired of stuffing my gears so i'm thinking the sakura geardiff might be a better suited alternative since i can use xray nt1 metal diff gears in it...
