The rear gear diff (tamiya version) is great, i have done many runs with them in mod, make sure you build it correctly as per jilles redrc videos.

shorter gives you less chassis roll. tamiya and protoform are used alot in tcs but nothing beat tamiya bodies. i like the shorter arm i feel quicker turn in! i use exotek super soft chassis but not legal

i skipped using oil in my gear diff. I use tamiya anti-wear grease instead and use gear diff front and back and it feels stable around turns.

Dear hodognobun.

Why is not legal the exotek super soft chasis?

Cheers!

Correction: I am talking only if we race at Tmaiya USA! Tamiya USA does not allow modding or other brands for their race I wish they have open mod cause i love this chassis it is my primary choice. Smokem gives me alot of understeer with my set up but it is a great chassis but Exotek just feels right

They are the older C-hubs so the geometry is different. You can install them but you'll probably not going to get much feedback on them.

After all the testing, 4 degrees C-hub seems to be the best overall for the current TC setup. Alternatively, you can also so shim under the suspension blocks to alter caster but you'll also modify the dive characteristic of the car.

I've got one mounted on my car, and outdoors on lowish grip asphalt it felt good. Indoors on very high bite asphalt, not so great, but I think partly that was other settings... Plus Vince does a very nice job, and there is a bit more carbon around the screw areas at the back

i have put the chassis on my 417 and it is great on outdoors med grip ashpalt, i only run there and not on carpet so can not comment, but agree with Tryhard, Vince does a good job and the quality is great

Can anyone give me a figure for the front/rear weight distribution of the 417X?

Just a normal build with normal electrics.
