Ouch!

I think I would have cried at that point! Any pics?

I've been working on a set-up for foam on carpet. Spent 3 hours yesterday trying to get my 417 to work. The car just wanted to push on corner entry, then added some sweep to the front, and changed the springs to Tam blue front and rear and the car was getting better taking about second of my lap times. (which shows how much I had to slow down at first)

It's still not spot on but it's getting there.

I ran a gear diff with 5k oil.. That was probably the biggest handicap. Unfortunately I didn't have my spare ball diff or lighter oil to put in the gear diff. It's fitted now so hopefully I can test it tomorrow.

ya I believe you really need 2 ball diffs for foams.. I ran it like that and I build the front diff with thicker lube the the back.. this should give you more steering

I agree, the ball diff were not out when I got the 417 so I has to get the gear diff. I only just got the parts for a new ball diff to replace it. The 417 ball diffs are great so smooth and they last ages without maintenance (Im only running 13.5t now though)

Yesterday, whilst waiting for the 417 bats to charge I ran my 415msx (with both ball diffs) and it was awesome.. getting faster laps than my 417 straight away.

Do you have a set-up for the 417 on foam?
