You can use r5 steering blocks if you don't want to mess around with the l4 blocks, though.

Right now I finished my Rebel. Tomorrow will be training and experience on the track where the German Championship will race this year.

Hey guys.

I bought a Rebel 12 and have a few questions about the mods you made.

What is the part number for the Associated steering knuckles you drive?
Can I still use the Rebel axles or do I have to buy the Associated axles?
What servo mounts do I need to mount the servo flat on the chassis?
How do I get back to the regular bumpsteer with the servo mounted flat?

Thanks in advance!

I use ASC4626, which also includes a pair of caster blocks you won't be using. Yes, you will need to use the AE axles, ASC4627 along with the appropriate nut.

You could also use the Xenon steering blocks, which are a little 'nicer' and will also give you the option of changing scrub: http://xenon.ocnk.net/product-list/48

To mount the servo flat you can either just shoegoo the servo down or use servo mounts from any number of other chassis. I think the following are pretty good:

- VBC Servo Mounts (expensive, though) - B-02-VBC-5012
- Kyosho servo mounts KYOPZ029 (this red isn't a perfect colour match, fyi)
- CRC molded plastic servo mount - CRC 3315 (made for imperial screws, but should work with metric)

With the servo mounted flat and with r5 steering blocks, I believe I have 3 mm shims underneath the ballstuds on the steering blocks. Servo saver is a normal black kimbrough, lower holes.

Hello all,
What ESC are you using? I am looking for an ESC that doesn't require a booster, if possible. If it's not possible, which booster do you recommend?
Thank you in advance.

Hi, I am using LRP SXX V2, no booster needed. I was reading somewhere that people use Flow ESC also without booster. Hobbyking has a Trackstar 1S Speedo, also without using a booster and cheap to get.

Hi,
Yes you can run the Flow or the Comet without booster or RX pack.
It al depends on your RX an it's operating voltage range.

Never seen a receiver with a operating voltage range from 3,7V. As far as I know, they all start from 4,8V.
I also bought a Comet HD (havenīt received it yet) and I want to run it without a booster, my receiver is a Futaba R304SB. Hope it will work...

What are the "must have spares" you have to carry if you are racing?
Thanks!
