Thanks again for the input on the JFT foam. I finally got my hands on some. Delivery was not great over the holidays.
Cannot agree more regarding pace and zero fade. Generally I run ulti's which are a great choice but I will be switching to JFT.

Here is my setup sheet from the 2016 1/12 Reedy Race of Champions:

http://chrishillier.com/wp/wp-conten...6_hillierc.pdf

My car was really good with this setup. The driver? Debatable.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I received some questions about the front end configuration of my car, so I have updated the setup sheet to try and make things clearer.

I use AE R5 steering blocks with two 0.1 mm shims, one of top of the steering block, one below the steering block. I then use a single 1 mm shim on the axle.

I use shims on top of the kingpin to set droop to be even from side to side - those shims are not mentioned in the setup sheet since they are variable depending on the springs. My car has around 0.2 mm of front droop.

Default lower pivot balls

I've never been a fan of using metal pivot balls in the lower front arms of any 1/12th scale car. Metal balls are great for the upper ball since they typically minimize the play that can occur within the upper eyelet. But I've always found that my kingpins just don't seem to slide as smoothly thru a metal lower pivot ball as they do thru a delrin or nylon ball. And yes, I do polish the kingpins. So my question is this.....can someone please advise on which brand of nylon or delrin pivot balls fit best in the Rebel 12's front lower suspension arms?

I too had a similar issue with metal in the lower arms. I can't claim that they are the best, but I've been happy with standard Associated 12R5 balls.

Is it normal for the side black springs to be mega tight when pushing them on?

mine took a lot of force and in the end i noticed the springs are a bit bent

Not too pumped about your word choice there, but yes, it is normal for the springs to be fairly tight on the retainers. You just need to slowly work them on and then you should be able to get them to settle on the retainer so they aren't at an angle.

Default Kits!

Hey Guys,

We just received a new batch of Rebel 12 kits at TOP Racing USA.
It is a small number so these will not last long.

Thanks OD! My car was good, my driving just let down the side.

Here is my setup from carpet nats:

I know Ray's car was quite a bit different, so more evidence that there are multiple ways to make this car quite good on the new carpet.
