My amain 17.5 car had a 4.0 motor strapped in, and a cooling fan added to my orca. The car was very good...

Had to dig deep to find this thread...

OD (or anyone close to TOP) know if there's any changes/tweaks coming for the fall season? LiPO specific chassis, etc??

p.s. I ran the SMC (...JACO) tires the last few weeks of our season. A fantastic change! I now have the turn-in I'd been looking for, and picked up over 2/3 lap over my previous best runs.

Hey Denney!

How much did you have to shim the rear axle for those to work? I've been thinking about trying some this coming fall/winter.

I didn't actually measure the rear (...or front), just used the wide front inserts, and added 1mm per side on the rear axle. It seems to be about the same as with the CRC's, but I think I may want an additional .5 or 1mm per side.

The tires are awesome...I cut them to 42/44mm, black/yellow (I also tried black/orange - no noticable difference on low-ish bite), picked up almost a full lap compared to the CRC's (tried nearly every combo). You can't beat the price, and they seem to last longer too.

The Rebel 12 is such a good car there are not many changes planned. You'll probably see a lipo specific chassis and some other small changes on the next batch of cars

Possibly in time for IIC? Even then, I'd probably be afraid to touch my car. The car works so well!

We don't have an eta yet, so I'll say it's possible. And yeah, no touching for me either! I'll just add to the stable and keep my existing cars ready!

That setup works surprising well by just tweaking how much you sauce the front tires. The setup I run at TQ raceway is pretty much identical except I'm running yellow rears.
