It is all about tire offset. Narrow for BSR and CRC tires and wide for Jaco and Parma.

Flat servo helps lower the CG in the car and I think make the steering feel more consistent. If you run it flat remember to get the bump steer correct. Links pretty flat I am running 4mm of bumpsteer with the lowest holes on the servo saver.

I just through together a setup sheet with my 1/12th 17.5 blinky setup from IIC. The car was far superior to my driving that week -- unfortunately. Check it out at -
http://racerlog.com/wiki/T.O.P._Rebel#Setups

Yesterday I ran the same car setup in 13.5 boosted, but with some larger tires, swapping to BSR Magenta Fronts and BSR Pink Rears and a 80t spur.

I've updated some of the other data about tire sizes/etc on the Rebel wiki too - http://racerlog.com/wiki/T.O.P._Rebel

No problem OD. I wonder how many more 4th place finished I can pull off this year . All joking aside, the car performed much better than me. I think the guy running 13.5 w/in the 17.5 class really threw us all off as we struggled all week to come to grips with his straightaway speed.

Thankfully there is always next race... (which might be the Halloween Classic... some of us are 50/50 if we are going to go right now. should know by tomorrow or wednesday...)

I's amazing how something like that can get in your head (the 13.5 guy). Don't worry, I'm sure you have many more 4th place finishes in you!

Next big race for us will be the Timezone Grand Prix in November. Way too soon IMO as I am still sleeping off the IIC

Just got my 12th and what a great kit

I was looking at my steering blocks and it is possible I have two left one's or right one's?

They look identical

I say this cause the bevel looks different in the top and bottom of steering block

So just curious if anyone noticed what I am noticing

Also please would someone list the hard to soft with springs

Side springs - hard to soft - colors, etc

ft springs - hard to soft - colors, etc

Shock spring - hard to soft - colors, etc

Thank you team Top

Take care

p.s. Only need Speedo and some tools and I'll be racin at Norcal

Come on FJ. You can do better than 4th.

Hope you can make it to the Halloween Classic. I might need some help. I'm running 13.5 boosted with my Rebel. Arvin and I are riding out together.
Are you making the trip down to Middle river this weekend since Horsham is closed?

They are (or at least were when I got my kits last year), you have to dremel them down to make them fit properly.

Not sure if there are updated arms available now though ?

The steering blocks are the same side to side, don't worry about the bevel. I've built several R12s and not had to dremel any thing on the blocks to make them fit, not sure what that is about.

V2 arms have been out for some months now.

The springs all show the wire diameter and number of turns on the header card and you can tell the relative stiffness from that. They go like this, from soft to stiff:

front: copper, silver (kit), gold
side: black, copper(kit), silver, gold
shock: black, copper(kit), silver, gold

Hey Steve - we made some last minute moves right around noon today -- I convinced Larry and Jerry to come out to the race too. I don't think you'll find any of use at Middle River this weekend. I'm going to rest up for the epic adventure to Cleveland Friday after work. See you before 7am Saturday morning. If you wanna talk about your 1/12th prior to the race give me a ring...

Just building this kit. It's looks very nice and the fit is perfect. One thing I noticed is that the steering block don't lay flat on the king pin balls without some modification, strange.

2 things I have to ask:

Do I need to make the hole in the steering block larger to fit the optional wheel axle with nut ? It is larger and doesn't really fit, I'm afraid that if I force it they will break.

Also, why are there 2 rubber O-rings with the optional pod plates/axle carrier ? There are four screws, so what to do with the rings ?

Thanks
